Mallory and Steve ~ Alys Beach

October 11, 2011

I’m finally getting back in to the swing of things after moving across the world and having my 3rd (and last!) baby:)  I am just loving the Florida panhandle and all of the gorgeous locations here.  It’s so fun to explore and shoot and meet new people all at the same time.  Last week I had the pleasure of meeting this lovely couple, who drove down from Alabama for their engagement session.  Our location was just minutes from where Steve had proposed months before!  SO hard to narrow down my favorites for a blog post, but here goes…!

What a gorgeous session. I love the outfits they wore and they are such a beautiful couple. I love all the love you captured as well…the ones of them close up are just perfect. I think my favorite is the one where he’s putting his hand over her face while she’s laughing…it’s so funny and adorable!! You always use such perfect locations too. I’m so jealous of them having these….I need something like this of my husband and I:)

2 Year Old Sweetness – Eden Gardens

September 28, 2011

It’s such a small world.  I had only been here in Florida a few weeks when I took my daughters to a toddler gymnastics class in Fort Walton Beach.  To my surprise, there was a familiar face there…Alisha, one of my fabulous clients from Okinawa!  It had been over a year since I photographed her family, and in that time her sweet baby girl Rylee had grown into a beautiful energetic toddler!  Rylee was about to turn 2, so it was the perfect time for some updated family photos.  We had done the beach before, so this time we headed out to lush, serene Eden Gardens…

Kim – Makeup Artist

The vast majority of what I do is wedding and portrait work, but I’ll occasionally take on a commercial shoot.  It’s fun to throw something different in the mix now and then!  Here are a couple of promotional shots I put together for the extremely talented makeup artist Kimberly Clay of GlamourEyes LLC.  Anyone who’s worked with her will tell you how amazing she is, beautiful inside and out and able to create magic with a brush!

May and Wallace

August 30, 2011

In Hong Kong, it is tradition for well-to-do couples to fly off to an exotic locale for pre-wedding photos a few months before they get married.  It’s an elaborate affair–an all day shoot with professional hair and makeup, 4 different gown and tux combinations, and 5 separate locations.  I was fortunate to get to shoot several of these while working with Paradiso Wedding Services, a wedding planning company based in Hong Kong.  This lovely and energetic young couple, May and Wallace, were delightful to photograph and full of  love and affection for each other.  There were over 1000 photos, so it’s hard to narrow down, but here are a few I especially love:)

Sweet and Serious

August 6, 2011

Hello all!  I’m back and starting over again in a new location:)  We have successfully completed our move to Navarre Florida, and will be setting up shop here in the coming weeks.  I’m so excited to explore the  new area…it is very beautiful here:)  In the meantime, its time to catch up on blog posts!  I first photographed beautiful MiKaela and her mother Pam a little over a year ago for a mother/daughter session among the cherry blossoms that ended up being one of my all-time favorites.  I was super excited when she called me about doing another when MiKaela turned two and the family was all together!  Pam always picks the best clothes and their little girl is their pride and joy:)  Here are some favorites…

MiKaela is two, but when you look into her eyes, you get the feeling she’s an old soul; we got plenty of serious shots like this…

…and some giggly ones too!

And here’s one of just Mom and Dad;)

Stunning, and such unique, distinctly different looks…the stones, the green foliage, the red barn, the baskets…all have a different feel. I am so in love with her beautiful hair blowing in the wind. (Oh, and if this beautiful little princess is still available, I have a most adorable curly headed 2 yr old boy….hint, hint, lol!)

I was so excited to see little Michael again for the first time since his newborn photos one year ago!  He has grown into an adorable little toddler, full of curiosity and sweetness.  It was really great to see the whole family again and see how happy they are as a beautiful family of 3:)  Here are just a few favorites from our lunchtime session…
